Bengaluru, Aug 6, 2024: As the Gruha Jyothi scheme marks its one-year anniversary, you can delink your old RR number and link a new RR number to ensure that you continue to enjoy the scheme’s benefits at your new address. This update is part of our commitment to providing uninterrupted support to all our beneficiaries.

The Energy Department has announced that residents who move to new homes, whether renting or for other reasons, can now effortlessly delink their old account number and link their new RR number. This update ensures that you can continue to enjoy the benefits of the Gruha Jyothi scheme without interruption, making your transition smoother and more confident.

When relocating to a new rental property or making other significant changes, it’s essential to ensure that you continue to receive the benefits of the Gruha Jyothi scheme without interruption. To do this, you must delink your old account number and register with a new RR number associated with your new address. This process will help maintain the seamless delivery of benefits and ensure that you continue enjoying the advantages of the Gruha Jyothi scheme, providing you with a sense of security and ease during your transition.

How to Delink and Link Your RR Number

Please register through the Seva Sindhu Gruha Jyothi Delink Portal to ensure you continue receiving the benefits of the Gruha Jyothi scheme after relocating or making changes.

This portal allows you to easily delink your old account number and register with a new RR number. If you encounter any issues accessing the Gruha Jyothi portal, try clearing your cache memory and attempting to access the portal again. This simple step often resolves access problems and ensures a smooth registration process. If you’re moving to a new house, it’s essential to update your RR number linked with your Aadhaar number to continue benefiting from the Gruha Jyothi scheme. You can verify and delink your old RR number, ensuring a smooth transition and continued access to the benefits in your new residence. Complete this process to take advantage of Gruha Jyothi at your new address.

When relocating to a new house, you can link your Gruha Jyothi benefits to an RR number not currently associated with Aadhaar. To ensure a smooth transition, the previous resident must delink the RR number from their Aadhaar account. Once this is done, you can update the RR number linked to your Aadhaar and continue enjoying the benefits of the Gruha Jyothi scheme at your new address. The introduction of the delink facility was a response to public demand, and we are pleased to now offer this service to all. The Gruha Jyothi scheme provides significant savings on electricity bills, which can be redirected to other essential needs, making it a valuable resource for our beneficiaries.
