Karnataka Govt Extends Service of Dr. B.L. Sujatha Rathod as Director of Medical Education by Six Months
Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has extended the tenure of Dr. B.L. Sujatha Rathod, Director of Medical Education, by six months, even as she technically retired from service on June 30, 2025.
According to the official notification, Dr. Sujatha will continue in her current role effective July 1, 2025, under Rule 15(1)(a) and 15(2) of the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977. She will remain in charge of the department and its ongoing initiatives, as approved by the government.
The decision to extend her term was taken in view of administrative continuity and her ongoing contributions to the department of medical education.
