Bengaluru, Nov 05: Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara approved drought relief for farmers at a cabinet sub-committee meeting in Vidhana Soudha on Thursday.
The state will give Rs 5,000 per farmer as drought relief, with the first instalment of Rs 2,500 credited directly to bank accounts. The relief covers 226 taluks in the state, with an outlay of Rs 62,481 crore.
