Karnataka Congress Says Government Will Allot Five Lakh Residential Sites Under Sainik Samman Scheme
Bengaluru: Karnataka Congress on Tuesday said the state government had decided to allot five lakh residential sites to serving and former soldiers under the Sainik Samman scheme instead of agricultural land.
In an X post, the party said the initiative formed part of the government’s “Bhoomi Guarantee” and was intended to recognise the service of military personnel and veterans.

The party further claimed that the government had issued an order constituting a high-level executive committee for implementation of the scheme, including distribution of title deeds.
The underlying government order was not attached to the X post. Clarification and supporting records were sought from the Karnataka government and the relevant department, and a response was awaited.
