Bengaluru: The Jayanagar East Ward Communication Centre of the Bengaluru South City Corporation has moved to a community hall because its old building had become dilapidated, the Revenue Officer of the Jayanagar Division said.
Residents should now go to the Community Hall opposite Corporation Colony, 41st Cross, 28th Main Road, 9th Block, Jayanagar, for ward-related grievances, complaints and revenue-related services.
Why the office moved
The centre had been working from a building opposite Vishnuvardhan Park on 34th ‘C’ Cross, 28th Main Road, in Jayanagar East Ward. The notice says the building, including its roof, was in a severely dilapidated condition.
Immediate relocation was considered essential for the safety of staff and visitors. The move followed a report by Revenue Division officers in Jayanagar and approval from higher authorities, the notice said.
