India is poised to achieve a historic wheat production high, with estimates projecting a 2% increase to 1,154.30 lakh tonnes in the 2024-25 rabi season. The Agriculture Ministry’s Second Advance Estimates, released Monday, highlight this significant growth which is primarily due to a rise in wheat acreage.
