D.K. Shivakumar’s Swearing-In Fixed for 4:05 PM on June 3; Ajjayya’s Auspicious Muhurta Chosen for Oath Ceremony
Bengaluru, May 30: The swearing-in ceremony of Karnataka Chief Minister-designate D.K. Shivakumar has been scheduled for 4:05 PM on June 3, with the Congress leader set to take oath during what is being described as an auspicious muhurta suggested by noted seer Ajjayya.
According to the official communication issued by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Shivakumar will be sworn in as the Chief Minister at 4:05 PM on Wednesday. The ceremony is expected to be held in a simple manner at the Glass House in Lok Bhavan.

The timing has drawn attention because Shivakumar is known for his deep religious faith and adherence to astrological and spiritual guidance. Sources close to the Congress leader said multiple dates and timings were discussed before the final schedule was approved.
Political observers note that several astrologers, spiritual leaders and well-wishers had reportedly suggested different timings for the oath-taking ceremony. However, Shivakumar is understood to have opted for the muhurta recommended by Ajjayya, fixing the ceremony at exactly 4:05 PM.

The timing now stands officially confirmed through the Governor’s invitation and approval for government formation, putting to rest speculation over the date and hour of the swearing-in.
Shivakumar, who was unanimously elected leader of the Congress Legislature Party, is set to become Karnataka’s next Chief Minister following the resignation of Siddaramaiah. The June 3 ceremony will formally mark the beginning of a new political chapter in the state under Shivakumar’s leadership.
With the timing finalised and preparations underway, all eyes are now on Wednesday evening when D.K. Shivakumar will take oath as Karnataka’s Chief Minister at the auspicious hour of 4:05 PM.
