Central team stresses prevention of Covid deaths

Experts meet CM, suggest strict vigil in containment zones

BENGALURU:

According to the recommendations of a team of experts from the Centre, priority should be given to preventing Covid deaths and providing adequate treatment for infected persons. In addition, strict guidelines should be followed in containment zones.

The team, which included P Raveendra, Director, Emergency Medical Relief, and Arti Ahuja, Additional Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department, met Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Tuesday to discuss the measures taken by the Karnataka government in containing the coronavirus.
