Frightful Friday: 994 cases in Bengaluru, 1,694 cases and 21 deaths statewide
City’s case tally crosses 4K, deaths approaching 100
BENGALURU:
For the last three days, Bengaluru has reported 500-plus Covid cases – a situation that is causing a rethink in the state government on easing restrictions.
Bengaluru reported 738 positive cases and 3 deaths till 9 pm on Monday, as per the Health Department bulletin.
Sunday, June 28 saw 783 cases, June 27 saw 596, and June 26 saw 144 cases in the city.
Till Monday, Bengaluru’s tally is 4,052 positive cases, including 3,427 active cases. The death toll is now 91.
For the second consecutive day, Bengaluru did not report a single discharge.
Of the day’s 3 casualties, one was female. All were above 60 and had co-morbidities.
