Karnataka DyCM DK Shivakumar: I am Not a Coward, I am Not Afraid to Confront

He made these remarks while addressing the media on Monday near AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge’s residence and at Kumarakrupa Guest House.

Shivakumar was responding to accusations made by opposition parties that the party high command had assigned him the task of collecting money from leaders and ministers.

Shivakumar emphasized that he had no intention of running away. He stated, “Yes, I will not run away. I respect the court proceedings and the law of the land.”

“I will respond to anyone who needs to be answered. They do not understand the process of the IT department. They are speaking like agents. I do not speak like them. It would be inappropriate for me, as a person in a position of responsibility, to speak like that about the court. I will schedule a time to provide them with an answer,” he added.

He further declared, “Bring on the high voltage, bring on the low voltage, bring on the fakes, bring on the loot. Just wait patiently.”

When questioned about the arrival of Venugopal and his meeting with party leaders, he responded, “During our discussion, the AICC president, general secretary, and I addressed various issues concerning the party. We assigned the responsibility to our ministers to visit the Lok Sabha constituencies and provide reports. However, due to the delay in this process, we have decided that it should be expedited.”

Is MLA the only position on corporation boards? When asked if workers would also be given seats, he replied, “Both legislators and workers should be granted representation. A party is a place where everyone comes together, and it is essential to provide equal status to all. The Chief Minister and I will deliberate on this matter in the next few days.”
