BELAGAVI:
An audacious attempt to rob a gold jewelry store using a revolver unfolded in broad daylight in Belagavi. The incident occurred at Santoshi Jewelry Shop, located in the bustling Shahu Nagar area.
Prashant Hondara, the owner of the gold shop, began his day as usual, opening the doors to his establishment. Little did he know that danger lurked just around the corner. Two daring thieves, riding on a motorcycle, swiftly approached from behind and menacingly pointed a gun at Prashant’s head before brazenly entering the shop. In a brutal act, they struck him on the head with the firearm.
Prashant’s cries for help pierced the air, alerting the surrounding crowd. Sensing the imminent arrival of witnesses, the thieves hastily retreated, leaving the scene in a hurry.
One of the culprits had concealed his identity by wearing a helmet, while the other had his face obscured by a cloth mask. Armed with a gun, they had orchestrated this heinous crime. Prashant, the resilient owner, suffered severe injuries and was promptly rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
The incident has been reported to the APMC police station, where authorities are diligently investigating this brazen act of robbery.
