BENGALURU:
The Central Ministy of Consumer Affairs has notified masks (2- and 3-ply surgical, and N95) and hand sanitizers as Essential Commodities. The notification will be in force till June 30.
The Centre’s step comes in the wake of soaring prices and short supplies of masks and sanitizers at chemist shops across the country, amid public fears over the corona virus.
