Fuel Prices Hiked Again for Third Consecutive Day; Petrol, Diesel Near ₹1/L Increase
Bengaluru, May 23: Fuel prices have been increased once again, marking the third consecutive upward revision in recent days, according to AKFPT Team Karnataka.
The latest revision by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), effective from 06:00 hrs on May 23, 2026, shows a sharp increase in Petrol, Diesel and XP95 prices by nearly ₹1 per litre.

- Petrol: ₹107.12/L → ₹108.05/L
Increase: ₹0.93 per litre - Diesel: ₹95.04/L → ₹95.99/L
Increase: ₹0.95 per litre - XP95: ₹116.60/L → ₹117.54/L
Increase: ₹0.94 per litre
Third Consecutive Price Increase
Fuel dealers stated that this is the third straight hike within the last few days, raising concerns that daily upward revisions in retail fuel prices may have resumed once again.
Transport operators and fuel dealers are closely monitoring the pricing trend amid fears of further increases over the coming week.
