Air India Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Bengaluru Airport After Technical Snag
Bengaluru, May 21: An Air India flight from New Delhi made an emergency landing at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru after developing a technical snag during landing procedures on Tuesday.
According to initial information, the aircraft involved was an Airbus A321 operating from New Delhi to Bengaluru.
Technical Snag During Landing
Sources said the aircraft experienced a technical issue while attempting to land at the Bengaluru airport near Devanahalli. Following the alert, the pilots carried out an emergency landing procedure to safely bring the aircraft to the ground.
The aircraft reportedly sustained minor damage during the emergency landing.
All 181 Passengers Safe
There were 181 passengers onboard the flight at the time of the incident. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported and all passengers were declared safe.
Airport authorities and emergency response teams immediately attended the aircraft after landing.
DGCA Orders Probe
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has ordered an investigation into the incident to ascertain the exact cause of the technical malfunction.
Officials are expected to examine the aircraft, flight data and operational procedures followed during the emergency landing.
