Bengaluru, May 23: Fuel prices have been increased once again, marking the third consecutive upward revision in recent days, according to AKFPT Team Karnataka.

The latest revision by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), effective from 06:00 hrs on May 23, 2026, shows a sharp increase in Petrol, Diesel and XP95 prices by nearly ₹1 per litre.

IOCL Fuel Price Revision

(22-05-2026 vs 23-05-2026)

  • Petrol: ₹107.12/L → ₹108.05/L
    Increase: ₹0.93 per litre
  • Diesel: ₹95.04/L → ₹95.99/L
    Increase: ₹0.95 per litre
  • XP95: ₹116.60/L → ₹117.54/L
    Increase: ₹0.94 per litre

Third Consecutive Price Increase

Fuel dealers stated that this is the third straight hike within the last few days, raising concerns that daily upward revisions in retail fuel prices may have resumed once again.

Transport operators and fuel dealers are closely monitoring the pricing trend amid fears of further increases over the coming week.

Transport and Logistics Sector Concerned

The repeated fuel price hikes are expected to impact:

  • transportation costs
  • logistics operations
  • commercial vehicle operators
  • daily commuters

Industry representatives say the continued increase in fuel prices could eventually affect commodity transportation and market prices across sectors.

AKFPT Team Karnataka said the situation will continue to be monitored over the next few days to understand whether regular daily revisions have officially returned.
