Bengaluru Suicide Case: Gym Trainer Dies by Suicide After Girlfriend’s Marriage Elsewhere, Death Note Sparks Police Probe
Bengaluru: In a tragic incident reported from Bengaluru’s Mahalakshmi Layout police station limits, a 26-year-old youth allegedly died by suicide after learning that the woman he was in a relationship with had her marriage fixed with another man.
The incident occurred on Saturday evening, February 7. The deceased has been identified as Kiran (26), who was found hanging inside his residence. Police said a death note was recovered from the spot, in which Kiran reportedly mentioned the names of the woman he was in love with and her mother.
According to preliminary investigations, Kiran, who worked as a gym trainer and bodybuilder, had been in a relationship with the woman for nearly three years. Recently, the woman reportedly informed him that her marriage had been finalised with another person and allegedly showed him the wedding invitation, police sources said.
Following this, Kiran is believed to have been emotionally distressed, which may have led him to take the extreme step.
Police from the Mahalakshmi Layout Police Station visited the spot, conducted an initial inspection, and shifted the body for post-mortem examination.
Based on a complaint lodged by Kiran’s family members, a case has been registered against the woman and her family members. Police stated that an investigation is underway to ascertain all circumstances surrounding the incident.
