Yediyurappa Urges BJP Workers to Turn Modi Tribute Into Personal Outreach
Bengaluru: Former Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yediyurappa called on BJP workers to make personal outreach a commitment as the party concluded its Seva Jyoti Yatra in Bengaluru on October 7.
Speaking at the closing ceremony at Shankara Math playground on Dr M.C. Modi Hospital Road, the BJP Central Parliamentary Board member said workers’ engagement with people should reflect their admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his emphasis on public service.
Service and outreach at the centre of appeal
The programme was held as part of the Seva Sankalp campaign. Yediyurappa invoked the principle of Antyodaya, which focuses on reaching those at the margins, and described Modi’s leadership and service initiatives as an inspiration for party workers.
He urged each worker to adopt a personal-contact pledge on the occasion, connecting the celebration of Modi’s leadership with their own commitment to service.
Yediyurappa praises Modi’s years in office
Yediyurappa said the occasion marked 25 years of Modi’s continuous service as a head of government, first as Gujarat chief minister and subsequently as prime minister. He described that tenure as a significant milestone.
In his address, he characterised Modi’s political journey as an opportunity for public and national service, and said improving the lives of ordinary citizens had remained central to his work.
Yediyurappa said the Seva Sankalp campaign was a way for party workers to commemorate that service, and expressed the hope that their participation in the Seva Jyoti Yatra would translate into meaningful work for people.
