DAVANAGERE: A 23-year-old woman died after she was knocked down by a train while she was speaking on the mobile phone and crossing a railway track at the Harihar railway station on Tuesday night. The deceased wasĀ identified as Shravani, a native of Ballari.
Shravani, who is pursuing her MBA course in Mysuru, had gone to her relativeās house to attend a function. On Tuesday night, she was at the railway station to catch a train back to Mysuru.
Shravani was crossing a railway track even as she was speaking on her phone when she was knocked down by an approaching train which she failed to notice. She sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot. The Railway Police visisted the spot and have registered a case.
