Visakhapatnam-SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Special Express services extended till September 26
Bengaluru, July 13: South Coast Railway has notified the extension of the periodicity of Train Nos. 08581/08582 Visakhapatnam-SMVT Bengaluru-Visakhapatnam Weekly Special Express services to clear the extra rush of passengers.
According to a press release issued by South Western Railway, the trains will continue to operate with the existing stoppages, timings and composition.
Train No. 08581 Visakhapatnam-SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Special, departing from Visakhapatnam every Friday, was earlier notified to run up to July 31, 2026. It has now been extended to operate from August 7, 2026 to September 25, 2026.
Similarly, Train No. 08582 SMVT Bengaluru-Visakhapatnam Weekly Special, departing from SMVT Bengaluru every Saturday, was earlier notified to run up to August 1, 2026. It has now been extended to operate from August 8, 2026 to September 26, 2026.
During the extended period, the special train services will operate eight trips in each direction, providing additional travel accommodation for passengers between Visakhapatnam and SMVT Bengaluru.
