P.C. Mohan Commits MPLADS Support for Toilets, Benches, CCTV and Other Works at Cubbon Park
Bengaluru, July 13: Bengaluru Central Member of Parliament P.C. Mohan on Sunday committed MPLADS support for a set of development works at Cubbon Park during a scheduled meeting held at the park at 10.30 am, according to a press note issued by Cubbon Park media.
The press note said the meeting was attended by P.C. Mohan, officials from the Cubbon Park Horticulture Department and members of the core Cubbon Park conservation committee.
According to the note, the meeting was held to discuss development and progress at Cubbon Park, with works proposed through the use of MPLADS funds. It said the MP committed, in the presence of stakeholders at the meeting, to support development within Cubbon Park by providing toilets, seating benches, aerators for the pond, a compound wall and CCTV cameras.
The press note identified the conservation core committee members as Dr S. Umesh Kumar, President of CPWA, Kusuma, Deputy Director T. Mahabaleswarappa, Prabha, Sunita Kumari and Priya Chetty.
It said the conservation committee, the Cubbon Park Horticulture Department and CPWA welcomed the commitment and expressed hope that the works would be implemented on a planned and timely schedule.
