Attiguppe corporator traced the elderly man within hours of WhatsApp message

TheBengaluruLive turned into a timely conduit for rushing daily essentials to an elderly city-based auto driver who had been left down and out during the lockdown.
Auto driver Murulidhar, a resident of Attiguppe (ward 132), was not able to obtain his daily essentials since several days.
A WhatsApp message posted by former Congress minister HK Patil’s personal assistant, which came to the notice of thebengalurulive, was forwarded to the local corporator (See the WhatsApp message). Within hours, Murulidhar was traced and was provided daily essentials free of cost.
Local corporator Dr S Raju said, “We have been distributing free essentials to needy people since the lockdown. After a message from thebengalurulive was received, I asked party workers to trace the person. Within hours, Murulidhar was traced and he was given essentials like rice, dal, cooking oil and wheat. We do not want a single person in the city to go to bed hungry. Our party has directed that every single person gets food, and all efforts are being made in this direction,” he said.
Nominated corporator Bobby Venkatesh was present when the food items were handed over to a much-relieved auto driver.
