Shanthala Nagar, Singasandra are new hotspots with 59 positive cases

Silicon City recorded another 500-plus infections for six straight days with Thursday’s 889 positives. In this connection, data obtained by thebengalurulive shows that Shantalanagar and Singasandra are the two localities which have together produced 59 positive cases in the last 24 hours.

BBMP’s Covid-19 war room in its 101st bulletin has shared details of 255 positive cases, while listing wards with 10 or more cases.

Ward 111 — Shanthala Nagar — which mainly comprises the Central Business District of Bengaluru, Ashok Nagar, the MEG area, Elagondanapalya, the KSRP quarters, Victoria Layout, Austin Town (P), Xavier Layout, Langford Gardens, Richmond Town (P) — has reported the highest number of 30 positive cases.

Then comes Ward 191 — Singasandra in Bommanahalli zone — which has reported 29 positive cases, while Madiwala in the South zone has reported the least number — 10 positive cases — in the last 24 hours.

As per the report, the maximum number of positive cases are from South Bengaluru — especially from Jayanagar (22), Vidyapeetha (20), Hombegowda Nagar (18), Suddagunte Palya (15), Jayanagar East (14), Basavangudi and Katriguppe (13 each), Pattabhiram Nagar and Sudham Nagar 12 each. Arakere in the Bommanahalli zone reported 12 and Rajarajeshwarinagar ward reported 14 positive cases.
