NIA arrests absconding accused in Bengaluru riots of August last year
BENGALURU:
Even as the situation in the riot-hit areas of DJ Halli and KG Halli is coming back to normal, Section 144 has been extended in these areas till 6 am of August 18.
Meanwhile, arrests of riot suspects continue, with 35 nabbed on Sunday for a total of 340 arrests so far.
In the Tuesday night riots, the DJ Halli and KG Halli police stations were vandalised, Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy’s house in Kaval Byrasandra was gutted, and 3 persons died in police firing while a fourth succumbed to a blunt injury in a hospital.
