AYODHYA: The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has increased online Sugam Darshan passes for Ram Mandir from 975 to 2,000 with immediate effect, while announcing a phased expansion of advance booking from 15 to 90 days. All passes remain free.
The trust said the remaining technical improvements would be rolled out in stages after software changes and testing. The higher pass availability is immediate; devotees should not assume that every announced booking feature is already operational.

Seven advance windows and same-day passes
Under the announced system, passes will be released in seven advance phases: 90, 62, 30, 14, seven, three and one day before the visit. An eighth phase will cover same-day bookings. The longer lead time is intended to help devotees plan rail travel and accommodation.
Advance applications will normally receive a decision within 24–48 hours under the new technical verification process. Applying does not itself confirm a pass. Same-day applications will receive immediate confirmation rather than wait through that verification period, the trust said.
Free booking only through the official portal
Devotees have been advised to book only through online.srjbtkshetra.org and not pay anyone for Sugam Darshan passes. The verification changes are intended to curb automated bulk bookings and misuse.
The trust also proposed activating a complaint phone number and email within a week of its October 18 announcement. Those channels were presented as a planned facility, rather than an already operational service.
Trust general secretary Swami Govind Dev Giri directed chief executive Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra (retired) to implement the changes following discussions with the IT team. The number of passes may be reviewed again based on demand and bookings.
