Bengaluru: The Bengaluru East City Corporation has imposed a total fine of ₹1 lakh for illegal waste dumping at the BWSSB unloading point in Ward 52, K.R. Pura, according to the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA).
An inspection found that waste had been dumped illegally at the location for the past two years in violation of Solid Waste Management Rules, the authority said. Health supervisors and their team took action against those responsible following the inspection.

The accompanying penalty receipts show two amounts of ₹50,000 each. GBA said the corporation would continue taking action against illegal dumping in public places as part of its waste-management enforcement.
