Bengaluru: Karnataka is looking to move technology-led growth beyond service delivery and scale towards intelligence, intellectual property and innovation, Karnataka IT and BT Minister Priyank Kharge said after attending the NASSCOM Technology Confluence 2026 in Bengaluru.
The conference centred on the theme “Redefining Value in an Intelligent World”. Kharge said the next phase of growth should deliver real-world outcomes, with the state supporting the shift through talent development, DeepTech and agile support for startups.

He also highlighted industry-led policy and programmes such as Government First, which he said help translate innovation into adoption.
Kharge described the conference as an opportunity to explain the government’s thinking, hear directly from industry and bring back ideas to improve policy. His account of the event placed the emphasis on creating greater value through innovation alongside the technology industry’s existing strengths in delivery and scale.
