Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Udupi’s Pejawar Adhokshaja Matha seer Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Swamiji and other dignitaries and unveiled the logo for the birth-centenary celebrations of Padma Vibhushan Yatikula Chakravarti Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji.

In a Kannada post on X on Tuesday, Modi said the late seer’s life, marked by devotion, knowledge and service, continued to inspire countless people. He said the activities planned for the centenary would carry the seer’s ideals forward.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah had met Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Swamiji during the 39th Chaturmasya Vrata in Delhi on Monday and sought his blessings. Shah said the observance embodied renunciation through meditation, restraint and inner awakening.

Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy also met the Pejawar Matha seer at Sri Vedavyasa Gurukula in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, on Tuesday. Kumaraswamy said he sought the seer’s blessings during the Chaturmasya observance.
