Bengaluru: Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh is reported to have alleged that mobile phones linked to the alleged Siddaramaiah sting case were exchanged at Union Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy’s residence.
Singh is reported to have alleged that Prajwal Prasad, described as a member of the minister’s social-media team and a former journalist, directed Ritesh Pandey and Vinod Sharma to purchase the phones from Carol Bagh and received them at the minister’s residence.

In its October 29 update on CCPS Crime No. 56/2026, Bengaluru City Police said a phone allegedly used to record the purported sting video had been recovered and seized. Police had also reported the October 24 arrest in the National Capital Region of one accused linked to procuring the device. That update did not disclose identities and said the forensic report on the recording’s authenticity, integrity and technical aspects was awaited.
The October 29 statement distinguished between a purported incident in 2011, an alleged recording in 2023 and uploads during September–October 2026. Police said they were examining that timeline, the creators’ roles and possible staging or manipulation. They had described the depicted sexual-abuse incident and allegations as unsubstantiated.
