His father was found infected on Monday
Sudhakar himself and his two sons have tested negative
BENGALURU:
The dreaded coronavirus is now making inroads in Karnataka’s political establishment. In less than a day after Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar’s father tested positive for Covid-19, the minister’s wife and daughter have also tested positive for the virus. Fortunately for Sudhakar, and by extension for other cabinet ministers in contact with him, he has himself tested negative, and so have his two sons.
On Monday, Sudhakar’s father PN Keshava Reddy was confirmed as being infected with the virus. He has been admitted to a hospital.

On Tuesday morning at 7.06 am, Sudhakar tweeted the reports of his wife and daughter, saying: “Test results of our family members have come. Unfortunately, my wife and daughter have tested positive for #Covid19 and are undergoing treatment. My two sons and myself have tested negative. I am grateful to everyone for their best wishes and prayers.”

The minister’s domestic help also tested positive on Monday.
Earlier in April, Sudhakar had gone into voluntary self-quarantine after coming in contact with a video journalist who had contracted the coronavirus.
