Meghalaya Delegation Studies Bengaluru’s Urban Water Management Model at BWSSB
Bengaluru: A delegation from the Shillong Water Board, Government of Meghalaya, visited the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) and met its Chairperson Dr N. Manjula to study Bengaluru’s approach to urban water management.
The discussions focused on key aspects of water supply systems, governance and administrative practices, the functioning of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), and sustainable urban water management. The interaction also served as a platform for exchanging best practices and exploring opportunities to strengthen collaboration in improving urban water supply and sanitation services.
The meeting was attended by Praveen Bakshi, Commissioner and Secretary, Information Technology & Communication and Public Health Engineering Department, Government of Meghalaya, along with senior officials from the Shillong Water Board and BWSSB.
