Land identified for burial if Covid victims

The state government has identified around 35 acres of land on the outskirts of Bengaluru for the burial of Covid victims. The move comes in the wake of incidents of dumping of victims’ bodies in pits which have shamed Karnataka in the eyes of the whole nation.

According to Health Minister B Sriramulu, a total of 35 acres and 18 guntas have been identified and some of the land has already been handed over to BBMP.

Among the places identified are 4 acres in Dasanpur Gidwenahalli (Survey No. 80), 4 acres in Uttarahalli Gulikamale (Survey No. 35), 5 acres in Tavarekere Thippagondanahalli (Survey No. 4), 2 acres of land in Hunnahalli, Namaghatta, and 5 acres in Maranahalli (Survey No. 182).
