Karnataka Unveils ‘Bharat Jodo’ Logo to Promote Youth Unity, Social Harmony and Responsible Citizenship
Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister Dr G. Parameshwara on Friday unveiled the logo of the Karnataka government’s ambitious ‘Bharat Jodo’ initiative aimed at encouraging the state’s youth and promoting unity, social harmony, responsible citizenship and active participation in nation-building.
The logo was developed by artists and had been approved by Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, according to a statement issued by the Youth Empowerment and Sports Department.
The initiative has been designed to bring young people across the state together and encourage their participation in activities centred on unity, social harmony, responsible citizenship and nation-building.
To create a distinct identity for the programme, the government had invited members of the public to submit designs for the ‘Bharat Jodo’ logo. The call received a strong response, with a total of 255 logo designs submitted from across Karnataka.
The responsibility of reviewing the submitted designs was entrusted to Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath to ensure that the selection process was impartial and professional.
Following a detailed evaluation, two logo designs were shortlisted and submitted to Deputy Chief Minister Parameshwara for final approval.
The final ‘Bharat Jodo’ logo unveiled on Friday creatively combines key elements and ideas from both shortlisted designs, giving the programme what the department described as a meaningful and distinctive visual identity.
The government said the unveiling of the logo marks an important milestone in efforts to attract young people to the initiative and provide a distinct identity to youth activities across Karnataka.
Youth Empowerment and Sports Department Commissioner M.N. Anucheth said in the statement that the logo symbolises unity, coexistence, youth participation and the collective strength of Karnataka’s people, reflecting the core objectives of the ‘Bharat Jodo’ programme.
