Karnataka Reviews Development Plan for Protected Monuments and Tourism Destinations Across the State
Bengaluru: Karnataka Energy and Tourism Minister K.J. George chaired a high-level meeting to review the comprehensive development of State-protected monuments and tourism destinations across various districts, with a focus on strengthening tourism infrastructure and promoting sustainable, destination-led growth.
According to a social media post by V. Ram Prasath Manohar, Secretary, Karnataka Tourism, the meeting discussed strategies to unlock the tourism potential of individual destinations by leveraging their unique historical, cultural and natural significance.
The deliberations also focused on enhancing visitor experiences, improving tourism infrastructure and adopting a strategic approach to generate sustainable livelihoods and support regional economic growth through tourism.
The Karnataka government reiterated its commitment to unlocking the state’s tourism potential through planned and sustainable development, positioning tourism as a key driver of inclusive economic growth.
The meeting forms part of the government’s broader efforts to promote Karnataka’s heritage, culture and natural attractions while strengthening tourism infrastructure across the state.
