Bengaluru: Karnataka has announced seat reservations for district and taluk panchayat members, with objections accepted until 5 pm on October 19, the Department of Information and Public Relations said.
The announcement covers 1,129 member seats in 31 district panchayats and 3,656 member seats in taluk panchayats. Across all categories, including the general category, 50% of seats are reserved for women.
Objections must reach the Director of the Panchayat Raj Department within the stipulated period. They may be submitted directly or sent by post, according to the official announcement.
