Bengaluru: Karnataka’s Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council have listed a special discussion on the Centre’s draft notification based on the Kasturirangan committee report for their September 21, 2026 sittings, according to the official lists of business.
Both Houses are scheduled to meet at 11 am on Monday. Their agendas identify the draft notification dated July 27, 2026, issued by the Union government on the basis of the report of the high-level working group headed by Dr K. Kasturirangan, as the subject of the discussion.
Special discussion in both Houses
The item appears under “Special Discussion” in the agendas of both the Assembly and the Council. The Assembly document describes the sitting as part of the continued tenth session of the 16th Legislative Assembly and identifies it as a special session. The Council’s list similarly identifies the sitting as a special session within its continued 159th session.
The documents list the business proposed for the day. They do not record a debate outcome or the adoption of a resolution on the draft notification.

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar is listed to table the Comptroller and Auditor General’s Compliance Audit (Civil) report for the year ended March 2024—Report No. 4 of 2026—in both Houses under Article 151(2) of the Constitution.
