Theatres, malls, pools, etc. to stay shut; only takeaways from restaurants
In a major development, the Karnataka government has ordered a stricter statewide night curfew from April 21 to May 4, from 9 pm to 6 am.
Within this period, there will be weekend curfews from 9 pm on Friday to 6 am on Monday
The order issued by Chief Secretary P Ravi Kumar reads: “There has been a steep spike in the number of Covid-19 cases in the state during the last 2 weeks and the state government is taking all possible measures to contain the same. The situation warrants taking stringent containment measures to arrest the spread of Covid-19 in the state. Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 24 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the undersigned, in the capacity of Chairman, State Executive Committee, hereby issues guidelines to contain Covid-19 transmission in the state as annexed as annexure I, which shall come into effect from 9 pm on 21-04-2021 and will be in force including and upto 6 am of 04-05-2021. For strict implementation by Chief Commissioner BBMP, Police Commissioners, District Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police, and other Heads of Departments and Authorities.”

Cinema halls, shopping malls, gymnasiums, yoga centres, spas, sports complexes, stadia, swimming pools, entertainment/amusement parks, theatres, bars and auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places.
Restaurants and eateries shall be allowed only to provide takeaways and home deliveries, including liquor.
