Bhaskar Rao gets pat from Home Minister, DGP

BENGALURU:

Subsequent to former city police commissioner Bhaskar Rao’s transfer as ADGP, Internal Security, the first-ever case has been registered at the 7-year-old Internal Security police station.

On Tuesday, Rao tweeted: “Internal Security Division was made a police station in 2013 but never activated. On 5 August, the first case under the Narcotics Act registered and arrests made. Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai and state DGP have appreciated. It has statewide jurisdiction and augments specialized agencies.”

Though the station was 7 years old, no case had been registered by it so far. The first case has been registered under the Narcotics Control Act.
