Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday informed that fresh western disturbances would affect the western Himalayan region from the night of January 20 to January 26, as a result, cold wave conditions over Northwest India are likely to abate from January 19. "The western disturbances are likely to affect the Himalayan region from the night of January 20 to January 26 while the plains of the northwest will be affected from January 23 to January 25," tweeted IMD.
