Bengaluru: The India Meteorological Department has forecast a generally cloudy sky with light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds reaching 30–40 kmph in Bengaluru city and its neighbourhood.
In its local forecast issued at 9 am IST on September 21, the Meteorological Centre, Bengaluru, said maximum and minimum temperatures were likely to be around 29°C and 20°C respectively over the next 24 hours.
The next-48-hours forecast also indicated generally cloudy skies, light to moderate rain or thundershowers and gusty winds of 30–40 kmph, with maximum and minimum temperatures around 30°C and 20°C.
Bengaluru city recorded 0.6 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am IST on September 21. Both Kempegowda International Airport and HAL Airport recorded trace rainfall over the same period.
The city’s maximum temperature, recorded at 5.30 pm IST on September 20, was 28.3°C. Its minimum temperature recorded the following morning was 20.9°C, with relative humidity at 91%.
At the international airport, the corresponding maximum and minimum temperatures were 28.6°C and 21°C, with relative humidity of 88%. HAL Airport recorded a maximum of 28.6°C, a minimum of 19.5°C and relative humidity of 83%.
