Hostel for Kalyana Karnataka students in Bengaluru
Funds for construction from CM’s discretionary quota
KALABURAGI:
The state government has allocated 3,237 sq ft of land at HSR Layout in Bengaluru to the Kalyana Karnataka Region Development Board (KKRDB) for construction of a student’s hostel.
Announcing this on Thursday at Kalaburagi, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa handed over the order copy to Dattatreya Patil Revura, chairman of KKRDB.
Yediyurappa said 3% of the allotted funds for the development of the Kalyana Karnataka region has been reserved under the Chief Minister’s discretionary quota. These funds will be utilised for construction of the hostel.
The hostel is meant for Kalyana Karnataka students who come to Bengaluru for competitive examinations.
