Govt will give a grant of Rs 33 for the Kalaburagi unit
KALABURAGI:
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa performed the bhoomi pooja for Sri Jayadeva Cardiology and Research Institute’s Kalaburagi building on Thursday.
The hospital’s cardiology unit is currently functioning from the building of the Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences. A 300-bed hospital will come up on an area of 7.15 acres at a cost of Rs 150 crore, for which the state government will provide a grant of Rs 33.37 crore.
The state government has also approved a grant of Rs 300 crore, of which Rs 100 crore has been released, to the Karnataka Human Resources, Agriculture and Cultural Association, the CM said.
Drinking water
The CM also launched a Rs 600-crore project to supply drinking water to Kalaburagi city.
