Surprisingly on Friday, the pictures of the hailstones have gone viral on social media as North Kodagu region witnessed unseasonal rains and left coffee farmers worried as it damaged not only coffee crops but it also destroyed arecanut, paddy and other crops too.
People in Kodagu witnessed heaps of hailstones on the roads and whereever they can see at the coffee estates, roof of the houses.
The heavy rains also lashed Bengaluru city and rain continued till late night till the story was published on our website.
