BENGALURU:
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol has instructed all district administrations to use the social welfare department’s residential schools as coronavirus-related quarantines.
There is no downside to using these residential schools as the students are on a summer vacation, he said.
Residential schools and hostels in all taluks and districts are well-equipped with spacious separate rooms and toilets, Karjol said. He added that they are located far from railway junctions and can be converted into quarantines at little cost.
