First Covid case among overseas returnees
BENGALURU:
In a disquieting development, one of the recent returnees from London has been confirmed as Covid-19 positive.
The youth, 24, has been identified as P958 and is admitted at a designated hospital.
A major relief is that P958 is already under quarantine and the government does not face the hassle of tracing his primary and secondary contacts.
According to an official, P958 travelled from London (Heathrow airport) to Bengaluru. Of the 326 passengers who arrived at KIA on May 11, none except him was found Covid-19 positive.
