After 55 Days, First Train From Delhi Arrives
Passengers angry over institutional quarantine; says it was better if they had stayed back at Delhi itself
BENGALURU:
Nearly after 55 days, the First incoming passenger train arrived at KSR — Bengaluru city railway station on Thursday morning carrying 992 passengers.
Soon after the arrival of train, the BBMP and health department officials conducted screening and ensured that all of them were quarantined at designated places.
South Western Railway tweeted: “First incoming passenger train after 55 days! Special passenger train from #NewDelhi arrived at KSR Bengaluru railway stationAll precaution is being taken & #SocialDistancing ensured during alighting of passengers & educating passengers to follow the same@RailMinIndia.”

Meanwhile few passengers opposed to the paid quarantined at the railway station after they were updated about the hotel tarif. “We were never informed about the 14days quarantined facilities. If government had given it wide publicity then we had not come back from Bengaluru,” said an angry women who arrived from New Delhi.
Pessenger were informed at the time of booking that they will have to follow the quarantine protocol of the concerned state governments.
