Govt eases Covid-related restrictions on them
BENGALURU:
Private hospitals and clinics which were shut due to the Covid-19 pandemic are all set to open from Thursday.
Health and Family Welfare Minister B Sriramulu held a video conference with around 48 private hospital managements and persuaded them to restart operations.
At a presser later, he said, “Directions have been issued to not seal the hospitals. Instead, from now onwards they will be sanitized.”

He added, “It was decided to withdraw some of the restrictions imposed on private hospitals. Now, if a Covid-19 patient accidentally gets admitted to a private hospital, he/she should be kept in a separate ward and later shifted to a government hospital.”
He said non-Covid patients should not be refused treatment for any reason, and all private hospitals have been instructed to reserve a separate ward for Covid patients.
