Following the recent fire incident at Koramangala’s Mudpipe Cafe, the BBMP health officials have finally taken action. As a result, a total of 54 pubs in the city have been closed down.
BBMP officials are currently conducting inspections of pubs, bars, and restaurants throughout the city. Over the past six days, they have inspected a total of 1,058 establishments. Out of these, notices have been issued to 492 pubs, bars, and restaurants.
On Wednesday alone, 234 establishments were inspected, and notices were given to 122 of them. As a result, six pubs, bars, and restaurants have been forced to close their doors. Additionally, two priests have been arrested for wearing tiger claw dollars.
On Friday (Aug. 20), 12 notices were given. On Saturday (Aug. 21), 21 notices were issued. On Sunday (Aug. 22), 10 notices were given. On Monday (Aug. 23), 5 notices were issued. Finally, on Wednesday (Aug. 25), 6 notices were given, resulting in the closure of several pubs, bars, and restaurants.
