FIR against Sakra Hospital heads
IAS-IPS team of Uma Mahadevan and Sunil Agarwal found hospital had failed to allot Covid beds to government

An FIR has been filed against Sakra Hospital for failing to reserve 50% beds for Covid patients referred by the government
The FIR has named hospital heads Deepak Balani, Deepthi and Deepak Agarked on a complaint by Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner GN Shivamurthi.

On visiting the hospital on July 29, IAS officer Uma Mahadevan, IPS officer Sunil Agarwal and nodal officer Channakeshav found that the management had not allotted 50% of its beds to the state government. Further, the management failed to provide information on the list of patients discharged and the fees collected from June 23 to July 29.
Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar tweeted: “According to the government’s order, 50% of the beds had been requisitioned under the Disaster Management Act. The three chiefs of Sakra hospital have been booked under the Act.”
