Dr Jaffer P.C. Appointed Managing Director of Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation
Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has appointed senior IAS officer Dr Jaffer P.C. (KN: 2003) as the Managing Director of Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Services-1), Dr Jaffer P.C., who was serving as Secretary to Government (Budget and Resources), Finance Department, has been transferred and posted as the Managing Director of BMRCL until further orders. He replaces Dr Ravishankar J., IAS, who has been transferred.
The government has also posted Dr Reju M.T. (KN: 2005), who was awaiting posting, as Secretary to Government (Budget and Resources), Finance Department, in place of Dr Jaffer P.C.
In another posting, T.H.M. Kumar, IAS (KN: 2008), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Secretary to Government, Housing Department, relieving Mohan Raj K.P., IAS, of the concurrent charge.
The transfers were notified by the Karnataka Government through an order issued on August 5, 2026, and take immediate effect.
