The announcements were made following discussions with leading companies during the second day of the two-day investment roadshow led by Karnataka Minister for Large and Medium Industries M.B. Patil to attract fresh investments into the state.

Providing details of the meetings, Principal Secretary, Department of Industries and Commerce, Dr. S. Selvakumar, said Cipla has already begun expanding its manufacturing facility at Bommasandra in Bengaluru, with production from the expanded unit expected to commence by December 2026.

The Karnataka government delegation also held meetings with representatives of Blackstone, Saint-Gobain, Horizon, Henkel, KEC International and ideaForge Technology.

According to Dr. Selvakumar, Blackstone expressed interest in investing in data centres, renewable energy and fibre-optic infrastructure in Karnataka.

The government also encouraged Horizon to explore investment opportunities in Karnataka’s Tier-2 cities in the industrial and infrastructure sectors. The company is interested in developing plug-and-play industrial infrastructure, which is expected to support balanced regional industrial development across the state.

The meetings were attended by Nikhil Jalan, Head, and Rachit Mohan, Managing Director, Blackstone; Hari Singhudasu, Chief Financial Officer, and Prakash Sabarad of Saint-Gobain; Urvish Rambhia, Chief Executive Officer, and Venkataraman of Horizon; Prabhakaran Nair, Global Head, Cipla; Prasanna Venkatesh of Rocket India; and Sachin Mathur, Director, ideaForge Technology.
